(4th diary) - New Schedule Day 1

 

10:00 - Take dose

 

10:00-12-00 (Strength score 2-5)

  • Did not notice dose kick in today.
  • Struggled a bit to keep focused on a voice.
  • Noticing a quiet head by 11:15.

12:00-14:00 (5-6 .. PEAK)

  • Feeling talkative.
  • Remembering things I wouldn't normally.
  • Multitasking a little easier to manage and prioritise.
  • Realised not eaten yet today and not hungry.

 14:00-16:00 (6)

  • Non-work related stress causing distractions.
  • Multitasking slipping a bit. Possibly caused by stress though.
  • Overly emotional about the situation.

16:00-18:00 (6-4)

  • Productivity seems to be persevering considering.
  • Still feeling a little down.
  • Starting to get tired.

18:00-20:00 (4-2)

  • Focus still good.
  • Just beginning to get distracted by thoughts wandering.
  • Still bit low. 
  • Start to feel a bit more content towards the end of the day.

Okay, so I'm starting to see a bit of a pattern of emotion, normally mid afternoon on the way down from the peak. It rarely lasts very long and sometimes it can come and go just a couple of times. I can somehow tell that it is superficial but it is heightened by stuff that would trigger some sort of emotional feelings anyway.

Also definitely feeling that loss of appetite. It's so easy to forget to eat when hunger doesn't remind you on! 

 

The other thing is tiredness. I was so worried about this because I really struggle with getting to sleep (see SLEEP blog!) but I am super surprised at how tired I get when they wear off!! I definitely could never sleep during the peak hours but later on I find that the increased concentration during the day makes me so tired in the evening which is exactly what I need!

 

 

I still feel the dose isn't quite where I need it to be. Its just a fraction too mild. I think I'd like to try the next dose up. I'm currently on 10mg which would mean going up to 20 so I'll definitely speak to my consultant about that in our appointment in 2 weeks. 


 

(5th diary) - New Schedule Day 2

 

10:00 - Take Dose.

 

10:00-12-00 (Strength score 2-5)

  • Didn't feel it kick in again - Possibly due to being busier at this time of day with housework etc.

12:00-14:00 (5-6 .. PEAK)

  • Multitasking getting much easier.
  • Everything is at a faster pace because of being able to multitask efficiently. 
  • Focus and multitasking is allowing me to be more punctual with logging in on time for work and taking breaks correctly.
  • More organised ahead of work.
  • Feeling alert and wanting to get things done.

 14:00-16:00 (6)

  • Focus still allowing better multitasking
  • Finding I am still falling over myself when writing.
  • Motivation perseveres.
  • Finding I still lose track of how to access where things are last minute. (Ie - continuous wrong drawer for cutlery/wrong tab for emails etc) 
  • A little restless today.

16:00-18:00 (6-4)

  • Motivation still there (My house is SO clean rn!)
  • Multitasking is slightly wearing off. 

18:00-20:00 (4-2)

  • Still super motivated.
  • Multitasking not changed much since it started to fade earlier.
  • Struggling to maintain focus.
  • More typing mistakes and slower also. 
  • Re-reading sentences over because the words don't link as I'm reading.
  • Struggling to keep train of thought as I type/write a sentence. 
  • Missing/swapping letters in writing. 

20:00-22:00 (2-1)

  • Finish work.
  • Start to become more tired.
  • A bit hungry.
  • Motivation spree subsiding (Just in time to chill out for the eve!)

This new routine of 10am doses (rather than 8am) is so much better for productivity when I really need it. I also know that I can up my dose on Medikinet as it fades out more in the evening than other brands. Along with that I can also shift it back to 8am if I were ever to be a 9-5er again so that it would adapt back to normal day hours if I needed it to. 

 

Will defo continue on like this and update if there are any more bits that I notice or if I feel any changes  but if not then will blog after my follow up a appointment on 31st!
